Jared - Senior
Born in the suburbs of New York City Jared Weintraub began his solo career at the age of 14 in Manhattan, performing at open mics. A recent graduate of the University of Delaware, Jared performed throughout his college career at venues all around campus and to audiences upwards of 5000 people. His travels around the world including South Africa, Spain, Italy and Israel, as well as every day life encounters, have inspired him to write original music which droves of screaming fans have compared to Bob Dylan, John Mayer, Ray Lamontagne, Dispatch, and The Beatles(to name a few) because of the combination of his soulful vocals, insightful lyrics, and his laid back and relaxing style infused with positive vibes.
Jared picked up the guitar at age 12 and taught himself how to play in order to support his love of singing. Since then he has written original music, which with lyrical inspired by travels, feelings on love, intimacy, life and every day experiences we are all guilty of taking for granted. The summer of his senior year of high school Jared recorded his first 6 song acoustic demo, which includes the originals “Why Won’t it Rain?” “How does it feel?” and “Barbed Wire”. That following winter, he recorded his first full band single “Why Won’t it Rain” at his uncle Art “Ski” Halperin’s Top of the World Studios in New York, which is now available on iTunes.
