Jillian Rose was born in a Fijiian flower bed hence how she got her smell-good middle name, Rose, and her exotic first name, Jillian, pronounced G-lay-en by the islanders. Picked on as a child for having webbed feet, Jillian would take dangerous dives off the rocky cliffs that plunged her far down into the ocean. One day she discovered singing oysters that lived on the sandy bottom. The oysters taught her how to sing and dance and when Jillian realized there was no way to get out of the ocean she sang a song called part of that world (sound familiar?) and before she knew it she had two legs (long ones at that)! Jillian sometimes longs to return to the land of underwater splendor but could never imagine leaving the wonderful land-creatures she has come to love known as the Deltones.
